my french friend bastien shared this fantastic disco apache jam with me. this is the ultimate fringe jam - so much suede fringe flying everywhere it's mindblowing! the thing that freaks me out a little about this video is that the main dude kinda looks like a weirdo disco version of my dad. but at least he's happy in his delusional little apache disco girls world that he has created in the forest! i love when he randomly sings and when he dances at the end. and those girls have got some crazy wicked moves. yowza.

oaktown 357 are some badass bitches. they got some serious attitude and some seriously flyyyy style. 'juicy gotcha crazy' features the most amazing female outfit version of the mchammer pant i've ever seen and a bombass polkadot ensemble. 'yeah yeah yeah' kinda sounds like three songs playing at once but it makes me wanna dress in matching outfits when i go to duane reade with my friends. what's up with the giant scissors chasing the giant strawberry part? and 'turn it up' is a weird song that's kinda a combo of early 90s hip hop and euroclub dance music - my ideal combo of course.

what would happen if a ghetto version of the muppets went on a road trip to outerspace? the video for 'hello' by joy. actually it's a roadtrip with movie screens flying by the side of the road every two seconds. but seriously, how do you come up with a concept for a music video and be like, 'i think i've got it - let's have some puppets driving a car and dancing around and put video of ourselves in floating stars!' i don't know how this makes any sense but i'm glad there are people out there who come up with shit like this.

WHAT IS LIFE

what do you get when an aging technohead has an existential crisis? 'what is life' by danzel. there are so many great parts about this song - the part when he whispers 'life' ten times, the part where he screams 'life' and makes a funny face, but especially when he says 'oh lord' like twenty times. this song should be called 'oh lord (what is life)'. what is life? no, really, what is life? danzel never gives us an answer. life is about finding retarded music videos like this.

ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND

with all this talk about alice in wonderland it reminded me of one of my fave disney channel shows when i was a youngster. 'adventures in wonderland' has the white rabbit rollin around on rollerblades and tweedle dee and tweedle dum are two mc-hammer-pant-wearing fly dudes. i included one of their musical numbers called 'picture perfect,' not for the song really but for the matching vests they are wearing. by the way, this tv show was a million times better than the movie in 3-d.

P.S. i found a video of the theme song for an anime version of alice in wonderland - i just really really like this theme song, especially the beginning.

JEREMY JORDAN

jeremy jordan is my kind of heartthrob. he likes to wear sweatshirts unzipped with no shirt underneath, a gold necklace and hoop earring, and a backwards hat. basically, cheesy with a hot bod and dreamy blue eyes. 'the right kind of love' is perfection in a music video. im lovin the extreme 90s wardrobe, especially when all those girls are running in the same outfit of highwaisted belted denim and white tees. go to 3:07 for a sexy talking interlude. the second video showcases jeremy's live performance skills. which include him taking his shirt off. actually that is his only live performace skill.

P.S. i just found this video of jeremy in japan performing 'right kind of love' in a small room to lots of screaming fans. enjoy.

ELECTRIC SALSA

i found this video within two clicks on youtube. sometimes i am amazed by how many awesome jams there are out there. and my sister actually sat through it and watched it with me so i know i'm not the only one that finds this vid entertaining! 'electric salsa' by off is a sweet talking jam, with a heavy accent of course. i like how all they did for this video was put a filter on it and that's the whole concept. i think at some points the guy starts talking in a pretend language. anywho, i would send this dude an invite to my house party!
