this vid for 'yeh wada raha' by dj aqeel makes being a phone sex operator seem so mysterious and glamorous yet also deeply emotional and haunting. obviously LOVE the all pink latex outfits, and the simple yet sensual choreography. and the girl with the headset is my fave, duh. big ups to whoever did set design too.

i haven't done a japanese jam in a while, so here it is. spiv states is a boyband from another dimension, seriously OMG?! like who are these people really? what planet or galaxy are they from and how do i get there?? i can't really listen to jpop though because they always sing with this weird fake overly done vibrato that gets on my nerves. this post is more for their amazing style and hair than the music. my fave is the gorgeous boi with the long blond braids. i think this is the modern equivalent to LA hair bands. but srsly, do japanese girls think this is hot? i mean i like pretty boys but once they pass the line and start wearing lip gloss that's not hot.

somehow in my youtube travels i stumbled upon videos of the tv show 'dance india dance.' i am officially addicted. all these dance routines are HILARIOUS. the first vid features jaikumar nair gettin his metal props tapdance groove on. seriously one of the dumbest yet most entertaining dance routines. somehow it reminds me of a dance scene in aladdin when he's trying to escape the palace guards. the second vid is a super crazy creative jam performed by salman khan in a pretend straight jacket. his fancy footwork is just killer. the third vid is of alisha gettin her super dancer moves on. the best part is at 1:45 when she gets funky with that cd on her shirt. i'm sure there are even more insane dance india dance performances on youtube that i haven't seen yet!!!

never has there been a more hauntingly beautiful multi-lingual duet than 'china girl' by fun tomas. yes, his name is fun tomas. the blonde mullet clearly marks him as the westerner in this clubland china inspired set. seriously - the beginning of the video starts with sparklers coming out of a golden dragon statue. both singers have horrible lip-synching skills by the way. yes, i know it's hard to believe but they are not singing live. loving the woman's menswear inspired ensemble with suspenders and a button up with a sparkly collar. you go girl.
