how would you describe 'money and gold' by the other ones? i have no idea. maybe.... total crap? the one person on the planet who actually listens to this group and genuinely likes them (which is not me i swear) has got to be pretty frickin demented. i don't even know what genre to categorize it in - oldies/b52s wannabe/somebody's weird uncle decided to be 'cool' and make a band?? anyways, when you find something this strange you just gotta go with it and enjoy the mindbending level of atrocity and let the joy flow into your life. at least that's what i do...
i always find the best, most bizarre videos when i search for popstars from some random eastern european country, and this is no exception! this lady looks like a vampire version of 'i dream of jeannie' who is VERY adventurous with her wardrobe and styling. my fave look is ..... actually i can't decide! they are all equally mindblowing. although the 'fan' version of her that is dancing in the crowd with a greasy moptop makes me lol. but wait - the unexpected vocal gem of this vid begins at 3:00. she's got some kickass pipes yo. NOT. imagine if she was your mom. what a weird life that would be. and at the end when the three versions of herself merge it is so magikal!
i flip for lil flip! he is hilarious. pass da swisha yo. i bet dat dude has sampled every kind of weed on the planet. maybe he has a blinged out bong. i love how towards the end he goes into a little interlude about getting ill from trying mushrooms. shouldn't his necklace have a giant marijuana leaf or joint or something? anyways, lil flip rulez.
what do you get when you mix together ronald mcdonald, michael alig, big bird and dame edna? my dream person. JK! kind of. no silly you get damian davey!!! his cover of 'the time warp' from rocky horror takes the song in a more club-friendly direction. i love how he tries to incorporate random people on the street and they all look really confused by his sweetass ensembles. fastforward to 2:37 for a rap interlude by an invisible/anonymous deep-voiced fella. basically this video is everything i love about life. his cover of 'wig wam bam' was a somewhat less earth-shattering follow-up, but i think post-worthy just for the feather headdress.
pat and mick. mick and pat. how did i survive this long without them?! one with a sweet blonde mullet, the other with luscious yet ordinary brown locks. positive attitudes + funloving hotties. i love how all of their videos just feature huge groups of people dancing in a room, like a synchronized demented lame version of soul train. that's a party i wanna go to. i think they patented the 'ooaaa ooaaa' thing in 'let's all chant.' i love the guy shaking his ass in the beginning. i REALLY love their matching guitar jackets in 'gimme some.' and 'i haven't stopped dancing yet' features the mullet dude wearing a gorgeous fringed jacket. his arm swaying and and excited jumping really make that fringe come alive! i haven't stopped dancing yet since i discovered pat and mick.
