i don't know about you guys, but i definitely never had any boys living next door to me that looked like the dudes in this video. maybe they should rename themselves 'men from a faraway land.' ok, bad joke. anywayz, in the vid for 'i will follow you' both of these 'boys' have put a lot of effort into their total look, but the clear styling winner is the one with the crazy sparkly belt and dainty ponytail that is tied with a ribbon. he's like an early american settler or a pilgrim or something but with much more pizazz. the other guy wins points for rockin a bright color and making friendly faces while singing but nothing can top that sparkly belt/ponytail combo. enjoy!

i dare you to not watch the first video at least three times. those three chicks are killiiiinnn it. all i know is it involves a song called 'pump it' by someone named icy blue and three different silhouettes of aerobic dancewear in all white. other than the black kneepads for power slides of course. scrap & trash are also pumpin up the party hardcore. seriously LOLZ at their black outfits with big floppy white bowties in the last vid! i think that dance sequence is an homage to mimes.

VIP

i decided i needed to educate myself on more canadian boybands so i started searching youtube. and look what i found - VIP (which by the way stands for Voices In Public. lolz!) their smooth, sultry, yet upbeat jam 'it's just my luck' was a top 20 hit in canada. it tells the story of the band members dancing with a girl who has a bfriend, hitting on ladies who turn out to be lesbos, and hooking up with a girl calling some other dude's name. i think their collective bad luck with women has something do with the fact that they are in a "boy"band and look like creepy men who work at a bowling alley. especially the guy with the greasy curls. usually there's only one of those in the group, like the silver haired guy in 98 degrees, but VIP obviously didn't get any hotties at their band audition.

DON'T MESS WITH THE RADIO

i don't know why but 'don't mess with the radio' by nivea is one of the early '00s jams that i still play all the time. actually, most of the music i listen to is jams from the early '00s.... anywayz, nivea (no relation to the skincare line) pulls some hot hair looks in this vid. i think my fave is the asymmetrical bangs with green and blue accents. although the red white and blue extensions going on at the end comes in a close second. also, if i had a sweet ride with a huge sunroof i would force my friends to stand up and dance like nivea's friends while i was driving. i don't own a car but when i go back home i do get pretty controlling of the radio when my parents drive. so you could say i relate to this jam on a personal level.

after a PTJ break during my vaca to cali, i'm back with a bang! it's time for a hair metal jam! tigertailz (which, by the way, could be in the running for best band name of all time) has the style i wish i did. pearls, diamond earrings, red lipstick, very silvery jackets and a shitload of baby pink make for some scream worthy heartthrobs. or, wait.. what? something is wrong with this equation. anyways, enjoy the flash glam jam 'livin' without you.'

THE SCHMALL BROTHERS

so beautiful, so peaceful, yet so powerful. that is how i would describe this contortionist performance by brothers roy and sven schmall. i love the outer space backdrop and the pyramids of lights. and of the course the smoke for ambiance and their matching sparkly bodysuits!!!! its gets a little bit weird when the one brother puts his chin on top of the other's weiner a little more snugly than he needs to, but other than that it is breathtaking. also, lovin the two second cameo by a fashionable bear at the end of the vid.

i love a good big hair jam. and this is definitely a MASSIVE hair jam. the video 'you're my first love' by new romance features the group members singing in front of smoky backdrops and having hug sessions in the forest. something tells me that the guy maybe isn't exactly heterosexual, so perhaps they bonded over their hairstyling techniques and are hair soulmates? the dude's curls actually look like an afro if it continued into long luscious locks. reminds me of a bit of that other dude from modern talking.

mandy smith is an english hottie with a powerful (kind of? not really) voice. but anyways who cares what she sounds like when she wears such amazing outfits! 'positive reaction' creates a positive musical reaction in my world! my fave outfit is the one with the boy london hat. so fly! 'i just can't wait' is a smooth catchy song that has a tinge of magical emotion. i like when mandy is the photographer and takes a picture of the crew. so cheeky! when she speaks in the middle of the song she lipsynchs rather horribly. the live performance of 'positive reaction' in laser tronworld features another bangin ensemble and slightly better lipsynching.

pumpthatjam follower candyflake_zup shared this tripmeister eder vid with me a while back and now it's time for it to be posted! i dunno if this group is some kind of a strange precursor to die antwoord, but i like it! i have no clue what this song is about. i like the guy with the elf ears and long hair who looks like jason schwartzman. i especially like when he is dancing. and i especially like that guy's garfield shirt. sweet.

im getting ready for a trip to cali so i figured, lemme do a cali post! 'steady dippin' by crips is a smooth rap jam with tricked out rides and fly style. my fave is the girl rapper who has boxers that go above her belly button and pants that start at the middle of her ass. amazing. the crazy mask at 2:40 is also pretty horrifying. the vid ends on a positive note - bloods and crips can leave in peace! tru dat!
