ptj reader the needle drop forwarded me this gem. jeff lynne looks like a muppet with an afro, and he seems he likes to reside in an early 90s computer game. this vid has three parts - the first is the video for 'lift me up', which involves lots of planes, trains, and a parachute. halfway through the video for 'every little thing' starts off with a castle and then gets really weird. the last part of the vid reveals that he has an english accent. what?! i thought this guy was from somewhere like tennessee. mindblower.

spiderwebs + pearls + black + serious silly robot club dancing = 'rock to the beat' by 101. there are only 5 words in the song: rock to the beat acid. but somehow her dancing makes up for the lack of lyrics - the spinning and the spiderweb spotlight and the pink nails are strangely hypnotic. i hope i don't start saying 'rock to the beat' in my sleep. actually i hope i do, that would be interesting.

meet joée. i'm not really sure how you pronounce his name with the double e and fancy accent and all, but my guess is jo-eh-ee. his video for 'feel it in the air' is smooth and sexy and has joée in a slinky satin shirt. how sensual. 'sunshine' features a leaner, tanner, longer-haired tropical loverman version of joée. i like when he lipsynchs really hard and gets air filling up his cheeks and looks like a chipmunk for .5 seconds. the last video is a bonus clip of joée live! i don't know where or when this was filmed but this is a world even i am shocked by. who are all these people in the audience?! why are there teenage boys reaching out to joée from the front row?! actually, forget the questions. i'm just gonna give into the power of his swaying little butt and shirt blowing up in the wind. i love you joée!
