i heard this song in a japanese supermarket and i knew i had heard it before but i couldn't remember who it was. so when i got home i googled 'i saw you dancing' and i realized i had meant to do a post about it! yaki-da, first of all, is a name that is so stupid that it's fun. it's fun just to say the word. also, me and my sister decided that if ace of base and la roux had a musical lovechild it would be this song. the video is a carnival on the beach with flamethrowers and a wardrobe of classy yet mysterious black longsleeve gowns. the best part of the vid is that guy with the braids who dances like crazy. i included a live version because the two girls seriously dance like their feet are glued to the floor. one time when i went out i actually tried to dance without moving my feet from the same position and it was pretty fun, for like 10 minutes.
